Refund & Cancellation Policy – LapMates

At LM Associates (LapMates), we strive to provide high-quality legal, taxation, compliance, registration, and business advisory services. This Refund & Cancellation Policy governs all payments made through LapMates.com.
1. Service-Based Nature
Most services offered by LapMates involve professional consultation, legal drafting, compliance processing, registration assistance, documentation preparation, and advisory services. Since substantial work begins immediately upon order confirmation, refunds are subject to the conditions below.
2. Cancellation Before Work Commencement
A client may request cancellation before any work has been initiated. Upon verification, a refund of up to 90% of the amount paid may be processed after deducting payment gateway, banking, and administrative charges.
3. Cancellation After Work Commencement
Once work has commenced, documents have been reviewed, consultations have been provided, applications have been prepared, or compliance activities have started, no refund shall be payable for the completed portion of services.
4. Government Fees & Third-Party Charges
Government fees, statutory fees, stamp duties, filing charges, certification fees, payment gateway charges, and any third-party costs are non-refundable under all circumstances, even if an application is rejected by the concerned authority.
5. Subscription & Auto-Debit Services
For recurring subscription, compliance management, bookkeeping, advisory retainership, or auto-debit billing services:
Charges already deducted for the current billing cycle are non-refundable.
Cancellation requests will apply prospectively to future billing cycles.
Users may cancel subscriptions before the next billing date.
6. Client Non-Cooperation
No refund shall be granted where service delays or inability to complete the service result from the client’s failure to provide required documents, information, approvals, or responses.
7. Duplicate or Erroneous Payments
If a payment is deducted more than once due to a technical error, the excess amount will be refunded after verification within 7-15 business days.
8. Refund Processing
Approved refunds shall be credited to the original payment method within 7-15 business days, subject to banking and payment gateway processing timelines.

10. Final Decision
LapMates reserves the right to determine refund eligibility based on service status, work completed, and applicable legal requirements. The decision of LM Associates shall be final and binding.
This policy shall be governed by the laws of India and subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Azamgarh, Uttar Pradesh.
